holland tulip festival

Over the weekend, my little, Claire and I drove for three hours to attend Holland's famous Tulip Festival. We had both heard about it for the first time this year and were so intrigued that we planned a last minute day trip to see what it was all about! When we finally arrived, we were not disappointed. Imagine thousands of colorful tulips surrounding a quaint little town...so magical! We spent the day scarfing down homemade soft pretzels, walking around town and stopping in every little boutique, and of course, taking a ton of pictures! Unfortunately the weather wasn't what we thought it was going to be (talk about some crazy wind!!) but it was still gorgeous nonetheless! The perfect little day trip for anyone looking for an inexpensive excursion!

Here are some fun snapshots from my phone...

Although it was way colder than we thought it was going to be, I absolutely loved this outfit! This pink denim jacket may be one of my favorite finds to date...the color is just so perfect for spring. Something about the baby pink paired with these adorable (and affordable) leopard print espadrilles makes me want to wear this outfit all the time! We were at the festival for around 4.5 hours and these shoes were great! I wore one bandaid to prevent a blister, but other than that, these shoes were amazing for walking around all day!

Of course I also wanted to bring out my favorite straw hat (I also totally didn't want to wash my hair that morning 😉 ) but it kept flying off in the wind! Talk about bad luck. Regardless, this festival was so much fun and we definitely want to go back next year! For anyone in Michigan that wanted to go, it's still going on until the 14th!
